SENSITIZATION WORKSHOP AT MIZORAM SCIENCE CENTRE
Directorate of Science & Technology, Govt. Of Mizoram, held a Sensitization Workshop on Basic Sciences Today, ie,28th January, 2016 at Mizoram Science Centre, Berawtlang. The workshop was organized for the Science Teachers teaching at High School Standards in Aizawl City
Dr C Vanlalramsanga, Secretary, Planning & Programme Implementation Department was the Chief Guest. In his speech, the Chief Guest address the importance of Science & Technology for the development of the State. The advised the teachers to import a basic understanding of what Science means to the students in a more fundamental way. The stressed that such teachers are highly needed in Mizoram
Due to a strong initiation from the Goverment, Science & Technology in Mizoram is growing rapidly. The Science & Technology Directorate will do its best to drive this growth further stated Chief Scientific Officer, Dr R.K. Lallianthanga; chairman of the induction service.
In the following sessions, Talks were conducted by Associate Professor Mr Lalhminmgliana Hnamte, Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College in chemistry. Dr Zothansiama, Zoology Department, Mizoram University in Biology. And in Physics by Mr Lalrinthara Pachuau, Physics Department, Pachhunga University college. The session were very productive and essential.
The first Technical session was conducted by Mr Laldinglian, Sub-Divisional Education Officer, Aizawl District. The following session was leaded by Pu F Lalliansanga Consultant, SCERT, Science Promotion Wing. In the closing session, certificate were distributed to the teachers by Dr Aldriln Malsawmtluanga, Scientific Officer, Mizoram Science Centre.
