CAPACITY BUILDING ON SIS-DP AT MIZORAM
On 11th.3.2016 training on SISDP was organized by MIRSAC at the Conference room, Department of Planning. The training was attended by various department of the state government.
The training was headed by Mr. Saihlira, Principal Adviser-cum-Additional Secretary, Planning and Programme Implementation. He focussed on the need of viable plan and strategies which requires accurate scientific data for sustainable development, and appreciate the contribution of MIRSAC in this regards.
Dr. Lalnunsiama Colney, Principal Scientist, MIRSAC, gave an introductory speech, saying that the ISRO has planned and funded the SISDP project and MIRSAC has been working it since 2010. These data will be uploaded to the Bhuvan portal where it will be publicity available.
Hmingthanpuii, Senior Scientist, MIRSAC gave a demonstration on the data generated under this scheme. Data on Hydrology , land use, forest cover and slope along with transport and communication system was demonstrated. She added that these generated data is being analyzed with high resolution aerial image (Cartosat & LISS-IV) which will be uploaded in the Bhuvan portal by ISRO. Data availability and accessibility through this portal was demonstrated by C. Vanlalengkima, Scientist, MIRSAC.
